Celeste Cobb is President of Insurance Marketing Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in the development of marketing strategies and campaigns to drive sales in the insurance marketplace. Celeste has over 20 years of experience developing, managing and implementing sales and marketing campaigns in the Association and Affinity, Group Employer and Individual markets. During this time she has developed significant distribution channel expertise, knowing how to incent and support traditional agent and brokerage channels as well as build effective direct-to-consumer campaigns.
She began her career in disability brokerage sales with UNUM and moved on to broker incentive programs, strategic partnerships and direct-to-consumer programs before leaving the company. She then joined the MetLife Long Term Care Insurance (LTCI) business to build the AARP Long Term Care Insurance direct marketing program. From there she re-engineered the Group marketing business, developed and implemented the Federal Long-Term Care Insurance marketing program (that delivered $240M of new sales in nine months) and then turned her attention to the Individual LTCI business, moving it from 7th to 3rd position in national sales, as measured by LIMRA. She retired as VP of Marketing in 2005.
In 2011, Celeste returned to MetLife to lead both B2B and B2C marketing in the Association and Affinity segment. She supported both Individual and Group products, including Life, AD&D, Disability, Dental, Vision as well as MetLife’s Identity Theft protection product and Rx discount program. She left to start her own consulting firm at the end of 2016 where she works with carriers, brokers and Third Party Administrators developing and implementing marketing and communication programs to improve the customer experience while driving revenue.
Celeste graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Wheaton College, Norton, MA, with a B.A. in Economics. She was a Truman Scholar and Rhodes Scholar finalist. Celeste also completed a year of study at the London School of Economics.
