Rhonda Vry-Bills

Rhonda Vry-Bills’ primary focus is to save one family at a time from the single, largest unprotected liability our nation faces - a long-term care event! She is passionate about saving family members from the physical, emotional, and financial burden that family members experience when a loved one needs extended care.

Rhonda grew up in rural Iowa, the daughter of a farmer and geriatric nurse, who retired from the Iowa Veterans Home. As Rhonda was growing up, discussions about nursing shortages, quality of care, patient-to-staff ratio and asset spend down were ever-present in her family’s dinner table conversations.

Since 1996, Rhonda has dedicated herself to the long-term care insurance industry. She started her career at KVI, now Marsh McLennan, in the telesales department educating members of national associations about Medicare, Medicaid and long-term care planning. During her six years at KVI, Rhonda was licensed in 50 states, taught LOMA (Life Office Management Association) classes and was an officer and member of Toastmasters International.

In 2002, Rhonda left corporate America and started Long Term Care Strategies, Inc. where she has established strategic alliances with planning professionals including health and life insurance agents, financial planners, employer brokers, CPAs, estate planning attorneys, banks and credit unions. Partnering with these professionals allows her to focus on what she does best, long-term care planning.

Today, Rhonda is a sought-after public speaker and has addressed numerous professional and business organizations. She has been recognized as a top 10 producing agent nationally and claimed first in sales in Iowa many times. Rhonda has served on national panels for the Intercompany Long-Term Care Actuarial Conference, the AALTCI National Producers Summit and has contributed to articles in industry and trade publications.

Rhonda is a proud Simpson College alumni with degrees in Communication, Theatre and a concentration in psychology. She has two adult children, and continues to give back to the community by volunteering with JR Achievement; she is also a member of Altoona United Methodist Church.
