The CLTC Roundtables bring together instructors and CLTC grads for a one-hour problem solving session. Together, these virtual study groups discuss a part of the long-term care planning conversation that is proving tough to master. It’s a virtual sharing of ideas, tactics, tools and skills designed to boost your confidence, competence and sales.

For each of the roundtable sessions in this series:

  • Bring a case study you’d like to discuss; or
  • Listen to how others have tackled some of their more challenging client scenarios.

We’ll discuss client demographics, retirement needs and goals, financial profiles and medical history. It’s all designed to help you determine the best LTC solution for our clients.

Meet Your Facilitators

Kelly Augspurger, CLTC

Kelly is the co-founder of Steadfast Insurance, along with her husband, Adam. They’re an independent insurance agency in Westerville, OH. She is a Certified Long-Term Care Insurance Specialist working nationwide to help clients and financial advisors plan for LTC. Her goal is to reduce the physical, emotional, and financial consequences that come from a loved one needing long-term care. She does this by having “planning for care conversations” and then funding that plan with LTC insurance. Kelly was recently named a HOT 100 insurance professional by Insurance Business.

Shane Van Patten, CLTC

Shane is a Regional Vice President for E4 Insurance Services. He began his career in the Financial Services industry in 2005 and for the last 14+ years he has been helping Financial Advisors proactively and intentionally integrate insurance into their practices. Financial Advisors choose to work with Shane not only for his industry knowledge and product expertise, but also for his leadership, work ethic and dedication for his affiliated Advisor’s success. Shane has a genuine concern for doing the right thing for the client.

Rod Crandall, CLTC:

Rod has collaborated with over 200 financial advisors to help them successfully integrate appropriate, insurance-based planning into their practices. Whether that be within a traditional financial plan, estate plan, or business succession plan. His focus is on helping advisors ensure their clients plan for the certainty of uncertainty. Rod began his career in 2000 running his own financial services private practice with a mutual life insurance company. He started working with financial advisors and their clients in May of 2005.
